After defeating Jannik Sinner in the final on the Parisian clay with his Pure Aero 98 and RPM Team strings, Carlos Alcaraz claimed his 5th Major title, the second in a row in Paris. A monumental achievement as the brand, celebrating its 150th anniversary, secures a 41st Grand Slam title with one of its racquets.
150 years of youth, passion, innovation... and triumphs. Babolat celebrates a legendary anniversary and couldn’t have dreamed of a better gift than the one offered by Carlos Alcaraz. The Murcian signed his first contract with BABOLAT in Spain at age 10, and joined the brand’s international team three years later. In August 2023, he extended his contract with Babolat until 2030. Carlos Alcaraz is a source of pride for Éric Babolat: “Carlos Alcaraz is a tremendous ambassador for Babolat, a leader who embodies human values recognized throughout the circuit. Our shared story is based on trust, ongoing exchange, passion, and innovation. It symbolizes what Babolat has stood for over 150 years. His fifth Grand Slam title will remain a milestone in our history, marking a legendary anniversary. Carlos is an inspiration for the younger generation and all tennis fans. His positive energy, creativity on court, great sportsmanship, and pure joy for the game touch everyone.”

Carlos Alcaraz brings Babolat its 41st Grand Slam trophy with one of its racquets. Carlos Moya paved the way in 1998 at this very same venue in Paris. This victory is also the 29th Grand Slam singles win using the Pure Aero, also wielded by Rafael Nadal, Francesca Schiavone, and Caroline Wozniacki. Eleven other major titles entered Babolat’s history thanks to the Pure Drive, the racket of champions like Carlos Moya, Li Na, Kim Clijsters, Garbiñe Muguruza, and Sofia Kenin. At the 2020 US Open, Dominic Thiem triumphed with the Pure Strike.
Carlos Alcaraz remains undefeated in Grand Slam finals. He has won all five he has contested: US Open 2022, Wimbledon 2023 and 2024, French Open 2024 and 2025. An inspiring and ever-smiling athlete, he became the youngest world No.1 in history in September 2022 (aged 19 years and four months). He capped off a mythical 2025 Parisian edition for Babolat, which began with a tribute to Rafael Nadal, Babolat icon and undisputed master of the venue with 14 titles. It was further highlighted by Loïs Boisson’s incredible run—contracted with Babolat since 2016 (Pure Drive racket, RPM Team strings)—who reached the semifinals and became France’s No.1 female player by the end of the tournament.
Inventor of the first string in 1875, Babolat’s leadership in the world of tennis is once again affirmed by these outstanding results.
