Brady puts on special on-court event at innovative Court16 FiDi ahead of US Open

Jennifer Brady, one of the most promising tennis players of 2020-21, is making her long-awaited comeback in New York this month. And ahead of the US Open, Brady held a special on-court event at Court16 FiDi (Financial District) where she put a select group of media members through drills, gave them tips for improving their game, and let them experience her big forehand. Following this, the American hit with the young tennis campers and held a question and answer session.

Reaching the US Open semi-finals in 2020 and the Australian Open final in 2021, The 28-year-old American is playing with a Babolat Pure Aero. Within months of reaching a career-high ranking of No. 13, Brady incurred a stress fracture in her knee which needed surgery. Previously planning for a comeback earlier this year, Brady’s plans were thwarted by a foot injury.

With her comeback now scheduled for the US Open, Brady is playing with a protected ranking after being unranked after two full years she was sidelined from the tour. Coming back with a bang this year, five days ahead of the start of the US Open, she was the star of a Babolat event at Court16 FiDI, the innovative tennis venue in New York City that finds new ways of making tennis attractive for players from youngsters to pros.
