Based in Lyon and a longstanding partner of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and ALL IN GROUP, Babolat is a natural fit as an official partner of this new ATP Tour event, which will bring together several of the world’s top 20 players. The partnership covers a broad range of areas: Babolat will be the official supplier of racquets, bags, strings and accessories, as well as an official partner providing clothing and footwear for the ball kids and tournament staff. It will also be the tournament’s official stringer, in collaboration with ALL IN STORE.

Strong ties with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and ALL IN GROUP

For Olivier Plançon, Country Manager France at Babolat, this significant commitment is a natural step: “The Grand Prix Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in Lyon-Décines will be held for the first time in this venue and format, but Babolat has many connections with the origins of this ATP 250 event. First, we are based in Lyon, which gives the event a very special meaning for us. We also have strong ties with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the driving force behind the tournament. We supported him throughout much of his career, and he achieved his greatest successes with our Babolat Aeropro Drive and Pure Aero racquets. Finally, we have been a partner of ALL IN GROUP, co-organiser of the Grand Prix Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in Lyon-Décines, since 2021.”

A longstanding commitment to tennis in the Rhône-Alpes region

A family business since 1875, Babolat has always sought to give purpose to its collaborations and partnerships. Human connections, loyalty, social purpose and bringing tennis to a wide audience are central to the Lyon-based brand’s approach. It considers these values just as important as sporting results and the pursuit of performance.

This commitment builds on a longstanding relationship with professional tennis in Lyon. Babolat was an official partner and the official stringer of the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, held at the Parc de la Tête d’Or from 2017 to 2024, already under the leadership of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Thierry Ascione. It then became an official partner of the final edition of the Open 13 Provence in Marseille, the last stop before that slot in the ATP calendar returned to Lyon.
