In 2005, Babolat entered into a worldwide partnership with Club Med to provide tennis at the company's resorts. For almost 20 years now, the two French brands have been offering all types of athletes - from beginners to experts - excellent tennis equipment and coaching during their vacations. In 2023, the partnership is being taken to a whole new level thanks to the rapid development of padel courts that Club Med now offers in many of its destinations. It's only natural that Babolat should now help Club Med with padel, which is growing in popularity all over the world.

Babolat has been the official partner of Club Med since 2005 for racquet sports, providing equipment for guests (mainly racquets and balls), holding events with Babolat-sponsored athletes, and offering sporting goods in the shops at Club Med resorts.

A long-time partner of Club Med for tennis, Babolat is now helping Club Med with its approach to padel. An innovative pioneer of the sport for more than 20 years, Babolat has become one of the world's leading padel brands. The Lyon-based company was therefore the obvious choice to set up padel at Club Med resorts and is even helping Club Med develop its padel offer. Incidentally, Babolat equips the world's number 1 padel player, Juan Lebron - as well as tennis champion Carlos Alcaraz.

Club Med, which was founded by a sportsman with a pioneering vision, is now the world's largest sports and wellness club. Naturally, the company pays close attention to emerging sporting trends, of which padel is a prime example. At Club Med, padel is offered to guests from the age of 6 as part of the Mini Club Med+ program. Older children can take advantage of lessons, free access to courts, and free Babolat padel equipment. In March 2021, Club Med's first padel school opened at Club Med Exclusive Collection Seychelles. In the summer of 2022, 6 padel courts were installed at Club Med Magna in Marbella, the birthplace of padel in Europe. Today, Club Med has 20 padel courts equipped by Babolat at 6 resorts around the world: Seychelles (Seychelles), Marbella (Spain), Opio-en-Provence (France), Phuket (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia), and Gregolimano (Greece). By 2025, Club Med will work with Babolat to offer padel at more than 10 of its destinations.

Babolat and Club Med share common values, including team spirit, the joy of making progress, and the pleasure of the game. Together, the brands promote and support the development of new sports and sporting practices. For now, the focus is on padel, which represents a strategic area of development at the international level for both Club Med and Babolat.

Babolat and Club Med showcased their strong partnership organizing an Influence Week at Club Med Marbella focused on padel activities. Three professionals Babolat padel players - Miguel Semmler, Patricia Martínez, and Jana Montes - delighted Club Med guests with clinics, masterclasses, and an exhibition match. Guests were able to try a wide range of Babolat racquets to fully enjoy this fascinating padel experience !
