Garbiñe Muguruza crowned at the Masters

Garbiñe Muguruza won the WTA Finals on Wednesday against her teammate from Babolat Team: Anett Kontaveit.

The WTA Finals bring together the eight best players of the year and were held for the first time in Guadalajara, Mexico.
In this 100% Babolat final, Muguruza, who plays with a Pure Drive, used her experience to get the better of her opponent by winning 6/3 7/5. She has been with Babolat since 2007 and on the rise with her aggressive style of play which has made the difference this week.

This is her third title this season after Dubai and Chicago, the tenth of her career and it was her fourth participation in the Masters after 2015, 2016 and 2017. It is her third biggest trophy after Roland Garros in 2016 and Wimbledon in 2017. It is a historic victory because she is the first Spanish player to win this tournament.
With this great week, she will finish the year at the 3rd place in the WTA ranking.

Less experienced but truly the most confident player of this end of season, Anett Kontaveit played for the first time these WTA Finals. The 26-year-old Estonian won 4 titles between the end of August and the end of October: Cleveland, Ostrava, Moscow and Cluj.
Playing with a Pure Strike, Kontaveit joined the Babolat family in 2013 and finished the year ranked 7th in the world, her best career ranking.
