On Sunday, September 11, 2022, Carlos Alcaraz captured his first Grand Slam title in New York. He became at the same time the youngest ever world number 1 in history at just 19 years old. In the final, Carlos defeated the Norwegian Casper Ruud in four sets (6-4, 2-6, 7-6(1), 6-3) after 3 hours and 20 minutes.

Our Spanish gem has just reached the two biggest achievements for any Tennis player, a mark that will stand.

Carlos has been climbing the ranks at a dizzying pace in recent years. Ranked 141st in the ATP rankings at the beginning of 2021, he has exploded all the counters and is now on top of the Tennis world.

Since his quarter-final appearance last year at the US Open against Felix Auger-Aliassime, Carlos has become a front-line player on the tour. In 2022, he had a crazy season with 2 ATP 500 titles in Rio and Barcelona, 2 Masters 1000 in Miami and Madrid and a Grand Slam in New York. He appears to be the favorite for ATP Finals in Turin, a competition he will be playing for the first time.

His playing style is dazzling the tennis world and bringing a modern twist to the Tour. Carlos' weapon of choice is the new Babolat Pure Aero 98 racquet for more power and spin, strung with our RPM Blast.

A true icon of modern tennis, expect to see him again in the coming years reaching the heights of the Tennis world.
