Ryan HARRISON, ATP # 284, 17 years old only, joined record books at Indian Wells by winning his first round match against Taylor Dent, ATP #77 (6-3, 6-4). He became the 1st of the youngest players at the ATP ranking (before the Australian Tomic ATP #328).

With this victory, he also became the first 17-year-old to win a main draw match at Indian Wells since Rafael Nadal in 2004. Ryan is the fifth 17 or younger to do so, and the other four are Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Michael Chang and Rafael Nadal.

The performance stopped at Indian Wells on Saturday after his defeat (6-2, 7-6) against Ivan Ljubicic , ATP #26 and winner of the tournament ! But at only 17 years old, Ryan already has the background of a great champion and a very promising future.
We wish him all the best and a lot of new victories and records for the coming years!

Ryan Harrison play with a Pure Storm Limited racquet and RPM Blast & VS hybrid strings.
